I am an introvert an excavator
I’m duckin’ out for now
a face in dodgy elevators
Creep up and suddenly
I found myself
an innovator-Santi

Designing Women. Remember this show? Imagine if they traveled through time to 2012. Who represents the Designing Women in 2012. I got an idea. (when don’t’ I have one?) But, I’m in my final week of my second quarter of SCAD. So it’s on hold. For now.

I’m currently all about ethnography thanks to my Methods of Contextual Research class. For the next month I’ll be infiltrating a culture. You may see me out and about recording, observing, interviewing and basically being a fly on the wall. I won’t reveal the culture. Culture can be defined in many ways. It’s not just about about ethnicity or demography. Take sneaker culture or blogger culture for example. Any who I came across this article in Fast Company. It’s exactly what I’ve been learning about. It also sums up my philosophy and approach in how culture fuels a brand. Simply put, I believe you honestly cannot have a brand without culture.
PULL OUT QUOTE-Your brand is the single most important asset to differentiate you consistently over time, and it needs to be nurtured, evolved, and invigorated by the people entrusted to keep it true and alive.
